Summary
Riverley is a privacy-first desktop writing app. Your notes, drafts, images, tags, collections, backups, and revision history are stored locally on your device unless you choose to move or back them up elsewhere.
Your writing data
Riverley does not upload, sync, read, or sell your writing content. The desktop app does not include analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or advertising trackers. After initial license activation, Riverley can be used fully offline.
License activation
An internet connection is required for initial license activation. The activation process may send your license key and a device label or identifier needed to manage activation limits through Lemon Squeezy. Riverley is designed not to require periodic online validation after activation.
Purchases and email
Purchases, payment details, taxes, receipts, order email addresses, and license delivery are processed through Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy handles this information under its own privacy terms. Riverley does not receive or store your payment card details.
Browser demo
The interactive browser demo is a showroom for the Riverley interface. Demo content is local to your browser session and resets when the page is refreshed. Do not enter sensitive writing into the demo.
